The noise of the world
How many of you struggle with feelings of inadequacies? Do you struggle with your confidence? With your appearance? Do you think you’re not smart enough? Do you question whether or not you can add value? Maybe you question whether or not you’re a good enough parent, spouse or friend? Maybe you don’t feel like your doing a good enough job at work?
Why is it that most of us struggle with many of these feelings?
Could it be we live in a world where everything in the magazines & on TV look perfect? Perfect bodies, perfect homes, happy kids & high paying successful jobs? It seems we live in a world where we are never enough unless we have accomplished all of these things…
I want to ask you, “is that what God says?”
God made you with purpose, even with your beautiful imperfections. You were created to follow out God’s call in your life. And when we focus on our feelings of inadequacies we are crippled.
My prayer is that you begin to re-write that tape in your head that tells you that “you aren’t good enough.” God loves you just the way you are. We were not created to all look the same, act the same, accomplish the same things. He made each of us uniquely & perfectly. And I would love for us to break that image of what “perfection” looks like!! Because the World is lying to us. And its time we take back our own identities & relish in the way God designed us.
I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ unto good works (Eph. 2:10)
I am complete in Him who is the Head of all principality & power (Col. 2:10)
I am greatly loved by God (Rom. 1:7, Eph. 2:4, Col. 3:12, 1 Thes. 1:4)
